1st day of my survey in Turkey

Now, I'm in the Hasankeyf Hoyuk site in eastern Turkey. This survey aims to take residue samples from ground stone tools excavated.

This site is located on top of the hill near the Tigris River. There are very few shrubs.

From this site, so many grinding stones were excavated. By and large, these stone tools are larger than Japanese archaeological stone tools.

This photo shows modern plant seeds found near the above stone tools. We have to think about these contaminated problems.

I will stay here and join in this survey until September 21. As my survey situation develops, I'm reporting it here.
